Tournament Registration Process

Registration for Tournament Events can be made at any time during the season. The Tournament schedule will be posted for the year by January 15th. We appreciate players registering for the event as soon as possible. We are able to negoiate better prices based on providing a guarantee of players so we appreciate you registering at least 5 days before the start of the tournament.

Once you get to the course, we will have a tent and/or table set up to sign in players. Please make sure to stop and check in before heading to the range or putting green.

Tees

The Premier Flight and will play the Championship or back tees (if under 6800 yards). The "A, B & C" flights will play the next tee and the "D" flight will play the next set of tees.

Scoring

This tournament is an individual stroke play event. You play your own ball until it is holed or a maximum of Triple Bogey on any hole (We do this to maintain the speed of play). All ties will be broken by a scorecard playoff for prize money. The winner is decided by the score on the #1 handicap hole, then #2, #3 and so on. The final scorecard must be checked by all players and signed by 2 players in the group.

Handicaps

All Findagolfer.com members will placed in a flight based off the current handicap on the site. For non-members, a verified handicap is required (this can be from an online handicap source, golf course or any other business that keeps handicaps as long as it's a USGA Handicap). If a verified handicap can't be obtained, the non-member is limited to the following:

1. Placed in a flight based on a verbal handicap from the non-member
2. The non-member will only be allowed to score 5 shots less than the verbal handicap

For instance, if a non-member's handicap is a 15 (which equates to a 87 basically) and shoots a 78, he will only be credited with a score of an 82. This is put into place to avoid any "sandbagging" by non-members. There are no restrictions on member or non-members who have a verifiable handicap. The non-member will be placed in a flight after the handicap is calculated for the first event.

Changing Flights

Any tour member that wins 3 events in their particular flight is automatically moved up a flight regardless of handicap (no exceptions will be made!). If that player finishes out of the top 3 in the 3 events after being moved up a flight, he will have the option to move back down a flight with no handicap restrictions.

Any tour member that finishes outside the top 3 in 3 events AND has a handicap above the current flight, will have the option to move down a flight. The above rule will be in effect for the new flight. If a player finishes outside the top 3 in 3 events but the handicap is still within the flight limits, the player will not have the option to move down a flight (no exceptions will be made!).

Conduct and Dress Code

Any abusive conduct such as, abusive profanity, club throwing or any act that results in personal or private property damage will not be tolerated. We have the right to remove any golfer from the tournament at any time for abusive conduct. In that event, the player will forfeit any winnings and entry fee. We also has the right to deny anyone from participating in any event that has been warned or removed for abusive behavior. That will be decided by the Findagolfer.com team on a case by case basis.

No jeans or denim allowed at any Tour Event. Shorts may be worn but must be Bermuda length. Collared shirts or Mock Neck shirts are also required. No metal spikes are allowed at any course.

Mobile Phones

All mobile phones may only be used on the golf course to contact a staff member if an issue arises. Phones must be competely turned off during play. Players with phones not turned off may be disqualified by us if we feel it has caused distraction to other players. If a player is disqualified all winnings or entry fees will be forfeited.

Electronic Measuring Devices

Electronic Measuring Devices may be used during any event. The device may not be used to measure slope, wind or other factors other than distance. Breech of this policy will result in immediate disqualification.

Pace of play

We do not tolerate slow play!! We will enforce this policy and penalize any group that is "out of position". The following is the guidelines for "out of position" and penalties:

1. Any group is considered "out of position" if one of the following occurs:
     (a) exceed the allotted time to play
     (b) reach any place where there is an open Par 3
     (c) reach any place where this is an open Par 4
     (d) when the preceeding group is on the green of a Par 5 when the group in questionreaches the teeing           ground

2. The group in question will be given a warning ONE TIME!

3. If the group has been warned and is still "out of position", each member of the group will receive a 2 stroke penalty.

4. Repeat offenders will be disqualified for the sake of all other players.

*hints to maintaining pace of play - Hit a provisional ball if the ball goes in an area that may be out of bounds or lost. Carry additional clubs when searching for a lost ball. When going to your ball to hit your next shot, carry one more and one less club with you. Always be ready to play your shot when it's your turn!!

Disputes

All disputes over scoring, handicaps or penalties can be disputed by any Tour Member by submitting the dispute in writing and emailing it to support@findagolfer.com. We will review the dispute and make a decision within 5 business days of the dispute. We will contact you by email and let you know the decision.
